Stories from the Living Lab: Advancing digital health literacy to empowering older adults
Healthcare is becoming increasingly digital. During this webinar, Leen will show how LiCalab (a Flemish health care living lab) empowers older people in digital health literacy and how older people were involved in the development of an educational package on online health apps. Leen will talk about the approach, some members of LiCalab’s user panel will share their experiences, and there will be plenty of opportunities for interaction and mutual learning.
Leen holds a master’s degree in communication science and a master’s degree in Cultural Studies. In 2013, Leen joined the LiCalab team at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences as panel manager. Her role within the team is to manage and guide the panel of more than 350 citizens, care organisa6ons and caregivers. She supervises the Living Lab activities: from recruitment, scenario writing, guiding group discussions and real life tests through the processing the results. Leen champions Human Centered Design and she strongly believes in the participatory approach to healthcare innovation.
