Arlind Reuters, grantee of Short Term Scientific Mission in Grant Period 1

Bio:
I am a postdoctoral researcher at Lund University (Sweden), researching digital participation in later life. As part of the STSM at the University College Cork (Ireland), we were able to dive deeper into the topics of technology, ageing, and participation.
Grant supported actions and initiatives:
As part of an event organised during the STSM by our host, Professor Eleanor Bantry White, we had many interesting conversations with other researchers in Ireland, older collaborators, and community organisations. Inspired by these talks, we started a literature review that examines the discourses of technologies and participatory approaches in later life.
Testimonial:
The PAARnet STSM to Cork was the perfect opportunity to deepen the initial networks, which were formed in the first year of the action. It gave us the time we needed to spend more time together and develop the direction of our working group, as well as kick-starting our work in a focused environment. We were also able to connect beyond the network, with other researchers at UCC and community collaborators. I really learning about all the things that happen in Ireland and connect into this exciting space. A very good week – thanks PAARnet!
