Call for Papers: Co-Producing Knowledge with Older Adults – Participatory Approaches in Ageing Studies

PAAR-Net members and colleagues may be interested in a new Special Issue of the Journal of Aging Studies focusing on participatory approaches and the co-production of knowledge with older adults.

The Special Issue, Co-Producing Knowledge with Older Adults: Participatory Approaches in Ageing Studies, invites contributions that explore how older adults can be meaningfully involved in research, policy and practice as active collaborators, co-researchers and co-creators of knowledge.

We are pleased to note the involvement of PAAR-Net members in the editorial team, including Anna Urbaniak, PAAR-Net Chair, Davide Lucantoni, Working Group 4 Leader, and Emese Schiller, Working Group 4 member.

The Special Issue welcomes contributions on a range of topics, including:

  • Ethics, care and relational dimensions of participation
  • Participation, agency and active citizenship in later life
  • Participatory approaches in digital and technological contexts

COST Action CA22167

There is a significant international commitment to give non-academics a greater role in science to help deliver impactful research and realise the European vision of science for the people, by the people. To support this commitment, the PAAR-net COST Action focuses on knowledge co-production, labelled here as participatory approaches, in research, policymaking and practice.
