Call for Participation: Young Researchers and Innovators (YRI) Meeting in Donostia-San Sebastián

PAAR-Net is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for early-career scholars and practitioners dedicated to inclusive and participatory research with older adults. As part of its capacity-building efforts in Grant Period 2, the COST Action CA22167 will host a Young Researchers and Innovators (YRI) Meeting on 2 September 2025 in Donostia-San Sebastián, Spain.

This in-person meeting will gather a diverse group of young researchers from across Europe who are committed to developing innovative, participatory approaches with older adults. The event is designed as a collaborative space to explore joint research proposals, co-author academic publications, and contribute to the strategic outputs of PAAR-Net in various ways, including practical and policy briefs.

Applicants must be under the age of 40, as per COST’s definition of a Young Researcher and Innovator, and should demonstrate a strong interest in the topic and a clear rationale for participation. A key feature of the event will be a series of 60-second elevator pitches, where participants will present their intended contributions to PAAR-Net’s goals in a concise and engaging format.

Up to 16 participants will be selected based on their motivation, proposed outputs, and representation across disciplines, geographies, genders, and PAAR-Net working groups. The call is open to researchers from all COST countries, with a special emphasis on Inclusiveness Target Countries.

The deadline for applications is 4 July 2025 (23:59 CET). Please refer to call document  for futher information and application forms.
