Bio:

I am the Grant Holder Manager for PAAR-net (CA22167) at Jagiellonian University. I have extensive professional experience in international project management, strategic development, and cross-sectoral collaboration. Within PAAR-net, I coordinate financial and administrative matters while also contributing to initiatives that support older adults’ engagement in participatory research.

Grant supported actions and initiatives:

As Grant Holder Manager of PAAR-net (CA22167), I applied for a Virtual Mobility Grant to address a growing and critical need within the network. PAAR-net focuses on participatory approaches with older adults, a group central to the Action’s objectives. In my role, I work closely with Working Group co-leaders, Older Co-Creators, and network members, which allowed me to focus in detail on the specific challenges faced by older adults in participating and using digital tools while creating guides and support resources.

Testimonial:

The Virtual Mobility Grant gave me the chance to focus on improving these areas and to create practical resources that help include older participants more actively in PAAR-net activities. It also allowed me to work specifically on strengthening the role of Older Co-Creators in the network. My work involved consultations and collaborative meetings to understand the main barriers to digital engagement, especially around accessibility, language, and online tools. From these discussions, I developed practical guides and translated materials, which became the starting point for a Digital Toolkit designed to support Older Adults’ active involvement in COST Actions.

COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is a funding agency for research and innovation networks. Our Actions help connect research initiatives across Europe and enable scientists to grow their ideas by sharing them with their peers. This boosts their research, career and innovation.

COST Action CA22167

There is a significant international commitment to give non-academics a greater role in science to help deliver impactful research and realise the European vision of science for the people, by the people. To support this commitment, the PAAR-net COST Action focuses on knowledge co-production, labelled here as participatory approaches, in research, policymaking and practice.
